Care Guide

We want you to love your Raven + Lily purchase. In order to preserve the quality, we recommend caring for your products using these guidelines.

Leather Goods

To preserve the beauty, color and texture of your product, please treat it with care. We recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve the color and to spot clean with water and a mild detergent. For additional protection, we recommend using Otter Wax Leather Oil. Use a soft-bristled brush or cloth to wipe away dirt, then apply the Otter Wax with a soft cloth and rub thoroughly and evenly onto leather surface before allowing to dry.

Goat Hair

Goat hair should be properly taken care of in order to maintain its appearance. As the bag may experience shedding, avoid rubbing the goat hair against your body or any objects during use. To smooth, wipe the goat hair with a damp cloth with mild soap and water in the direction of the hair. Be careful not to soak or apply excessive pressure. As our bags are made with vegetable dyed leather, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and minimizing exposure to heat and humidity.

Brass

To preserve the quality and shine of your upcycled brass, we recommend limiting exposure to water. Please remove your jewelry while exercising, showering, or swimming and limit contact with perfumes, lotions and hair products. We recommend Brasso Metal Polish or lemon juice to shine your brass products. To clean with lemon juice, mix 1 part water with 1 part lemon juice. Soak your brass in the solution for 5 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly with water. Be sure to dry completely with a soft cloth.

Suede

To clean your suede, use a suede specific cleaner with a suede brush and coat the entire product. We do not recommend spot cleaning as this may cause staining. To remove oil stains, rub talcum powder or cornmeal on the spot of the stain. We recommend testing a small hidden section of the bag before treating visible areas. Let sit for several hours and brush off. Keep suede away from direct light or damp areas.
